Is AiS Mandatory?

There are multiple things to consider before purchasing a security solution, including whether the safe, vault, cabinet, or door is AiS approved. Here is an introduction to the meaning of AiS and a selection of our products.

What is AiS?

AiS safes have been approved by the British Associated of Insurance Surveyors. This ensures consumers that each product has been rigorously tested and proven to be a high-security solution. As a result of this, people are able to obtain insurance to cover any valuable items stored in their safe, from expensive jewellery to large amounts of cash.

Is AiS Compulsory?

The ‘AiS-Approved Safe’ is a quality assurance badge. It is not compulsory for safes to be approved according to AiS standards, although it does improve the chances of insurance companies covering valuables kept within the safe.

Our AiS-approved security solutions

Here at Associated Security, we offer a range of AiS-approved security solutions. Our insurance-approved safes have been tested according to European Standard testing as outlined in LPS 1193 Issue 4 and to the European Standard for safes EN 1143-1:2015.

Here is a selection of our AiS-approved security solutions.

High-security storage cabinets

Our high-security storage cabinets are AiS approved. They are also fitted with VdS-approved safe locks and internal shelving to store a variety of company assets.

Home safes and domestic safes

We have a range of home safes and domestic safes that includes AiS-approved solutions. These come in a range of sizes, vary in grades of 0 to 6, and are fire-resistant for up to 60 minutes to protect paper from damage.

Controlled drugs cabinets

Our controlled drugs cabinets are AiS approved. These are an essential addition to commercial properties in pharmaceuticals, laboratories, universities, hospitals, and nursing homes.

Deposit safes

We offer deposit safes that also include AiS-approved solutions. Ideal for commercial use, these safes feature drawer trap deposits, envelope slot deposits, and air tube deposits.

Bespoke and reconditioned solutions

Our ranges of bespoke safes and reconditioned solutions are also AiS approved. To find out more about the process, speak to a member of the Associated Security team.
